A fetus in the mothers womb is scientifically provable to be both living and human. Not only that but its proveable that it is a unique life seperate from the mother.

hu·man : n. A member of the genus Homo and especially of the species H. sapiens.

There should be no doubt in anyones mind that a fetus is human. It has the DNA of a homo sapien. That is fact, anyone who would argue otherwise is downright ignorant. You dont have to respect a belief that is provably untrue.

life : 1. the condition that distinguishes organisms from inorganic objects and dead organisms, being manifested by growth through metabolism, reproduction, and the power of adaptation to environment through changes originating internally.

There is no doubt that it is organic, growing changing and reproducing. Once again there is just no valid argument that it is not living. Aside from sheer ignorance.

So we have established that as soon as the sperm fertalizes the egg it is human life. Not only is it human life but we can scientifically prove that it is unique and different human life from the mother.



Beyond secular consideration.

Q.The human soul, when is the soul apparent. Is it at birth or conception?

A. I think spirit comes before both birth and conception. What is soul? Soul can be described as the non physical characteristics of who you are. I've heard mothers talk of their unborn babies characteristics. So I would say soul becomes apparent sometime in between conception and birth. But I would venture to say that even before it is apparent soul exists at conception.

To sum it up spirit exists before conception and soul exists at conception but becomes apparent before birth. Spirit is what makes you soul is what you are.
